Confirm six compatibility inputs before choosing
- Complete composition: list the main chemical, concentration, water content, additives and possible cross-contamination.
- Temperature range: provide normal, minimum, maximum, cleaning and start-up temperatures. Temperature can change both corrosion behavior and material strength.
- Exposure pattern: state whether the pump runs continuously, intermittently or only during unloading and cleaning.
- Solids and crystallization: identify suspended particles, precipitates and any liquid that can crystallize as it cools or dries.

Material compatibility does not replace hydraulic selection
After the wetted path is screened, confirm minimum, normal and maximum flow, total dynamic head, suction arrangement, specific gravity, viscosity and vapor behavior. Keep the suction line short, airtight and free from vapor pockets. Review tank level, suction lift, pipe size, fittings and strainers.
